Lumiere vs. George Melies

In early 20th century, the representation of the different situations in life were used by the Lumiere brothers and lately by George Melies to create and join photo graphics into a sequence, trying to develop a new movement and a tendency now called cinema; those are they similarities and differences.

Lumieres and Melies were born in France. Both of the huge pioneers of photo sequence and cinema started working in the family business without thinking that they will become the fathers of this new tendency. Although they wanted to approach the images and transform them into a sequence, that will show the different situations and routines in French people lifestyles.

On the other hand, Lumieres and Melies had some differences; for example Lumieres create a device that worked as a camera and also as a projector that helped them to film whatever they wanted and project those images wherever; Melies was interested in this device and tried to buy it to Lumieres but they didn’t want to sell it. In spite of the advantage of Lumieres, Melies create his own camera and involved the scenes of Lumieres and gave an extra value; he used illusionism when he recorded with his camera, not only showing the things like they are like Lumieres with the “train arrival”; Melies was the pioneer using the substitution of elements starting the show of “fantasy” in cinema.

Nowadays those people are recognized by their inventions in the cinema field, taking different risks trying to create a new way of entertainment and photo adaptation. While the cinema evolution was amazing, no matter how much time passed, the knowledge acquired by these people transformed the nowadays severally.
